About

I’m a creative writer and content specialist who means business. I build content strategies, deliver cracking, authentic copy, and get your brand the attention it deserves. I’m also a millennial, which means I’ve grown up in the digital era and know my way around a website (front and back), can Google an answer in under 15 seconds, and, unfortunately, know the definition for words like bae and fleek.

When I was little, I wanted to work in Sydney at a magazine, interviewing important people and wearing super high-heels. I grew up to work on two B2B magazines, snagged an exclusive with my idol Ita Buttrose (and several others), and became Digital Editor by the time I was 24. And yes, sometimes I wore heels.

But being a “bloody millennial”, I decided working for someone else wasn’t exactly my style, and that I wanted to build a creative content business on my own terms.

So I quit my job in Sydney, moved to Mudgee in regional NSW (with newly acquired nbn, thank you very much), and started working with a new range of clients, both long-term and one-off, to nail their ongoing content needs.

What I’ve Done…

My background includes being Content Manager of an SEO firm, as well as an Editor, Content Marketing Manager, and Social Media Coordinator at a media publishing agency. I’ve worked in print (my favourite), digital (my second favourite), events, journalism, email marketing, website content, product description, bespoke publishing, native content, and more. You name it, I’ve probably worked on it at some stage.

Why I Quit…

I realised being assigned work that didn’t inspire me, with clients that were happy staying inside the lines, was really bad for my creativity. By flying solo, I get to choose my own projects, work with brands I’m actually excited about, and get weird with brands who like to push their limits.
